Food for Thought Super Speedy Breakfasts

Food for Thought Super Speedy Breakfasts Youve heard it many-a-time before. Breakfast is a seriously important meal that can help you get your day off to a good start. Eating a healthy breakfast  can provide you with the energy you need in order to maximise your concentration and productivity at work. Weve previously written about what the top business leaders eat for their morning meal, but it may not always be realistic to have a three course European buffet breakfast when youre already running 10 minutes late for work. What are some of the best breakfast foods that are easy and quick to prepare? Check out some of these hacks to get you hyped for  the day ahead: Make it an eggcellent morning! Boiled eggs can be your morning saviour, as theyre easy to prepare and even more easy to eat. Whip your boiled eggs out on the morning commute or at your desk and youre good to go for a quick, protein filled breakfast. Cook your eggs the night before and store them in the fridge over night so you wont have to spend any time preparing your breakfast, meaning you can have an extra 10-minute snooze! https://twitter.com/ArturoCespedesR/status/726366713848184832 Cooking scrambled eggs in the microwave may sound like a disaster waiting to happen, but if you cook them correctly they taste just as good as pan-cooked scrambles! Put two eggs, a splash of milk, salt and pepper into a bowl, put it all in the microwave for 2-3 minutes and voila! Perfectly cooked microwave eggs. https://twitter.com/ChaseBaggett/status/732907597251121152 Set the (granola) bar high Sometimes, the easiest option for breakfast on-the-go is a breakfast bar or some sort. Now there are hundreds of these on the market but be wary. Often they are packed full of sugar, fat and other scary things  that can actually do more harm than good to your motivation throughout the day. Take a look at the ingredients of a typical breakfast bar and if sugar is one of the first ingredients, put the bar down! Some of my favourite breakfast bars include Perkier Bars, Nakd bars, Eat Natural bars and Special K bars. https://twitter.com/FriendFoodDiary/status/709671587268665344 If you want to take it a step another notch, why not make your own breakfast bars? You can combine a mixture of oats, seeds, nuts, agave syrup (and anything else that you like nibbling on) to make your morning snacks. Super easy and super yummy. https://twitter.com/alibenz17/status/734070545482911744 Dev-oat your day Porridge is potentially the yummiest and most satisfying breakfast (especially in the colder months). Although it may seem like a more time-consuming breakfast, there are ways in which you can make the porridge-making that much faster.  First off, consider porridge pots! You can buy these in any supermarket, and they provide a quick and easy breakfast,  suitable for when youre on-the-go or at your desk. All it takes is some boiling water and a spoon! These are oats that you prepare the night before and store in the fridge. By the time you want to munch on the oats, they will have softened and absorbed the milk, and youll be able to add whatever other ingredients you like, breakfast is overnight oats with cacao topped with banana and frozen strawberries pic.twitter.com/YClmWcikb5 ~ (@wieiad) May 23, 2016 Make mornings more a-peel-ing Brighten up your mornings with a banana. Not only are they full of potassium and magnesium, but they have also been proven to lower the risk of heart disease and other conditions. But if you think bananas are boring why not make a Banana Microwave Pudding or Banana Pancakes.
